About "Dr. Kim"

I am a veterinarian with experience in the diagnosis and treatment of small animals and livestock. My interest in animals however began long before my formal education as I grew up in a farming community in Franklin County, Tennessee. Growing up in such an environment instilled in me a deep love and respect for both animals and nature.

I attended Franklin County,Tennessee Schools and graduated from Franklin County High School in Winchester, Tennessee. I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree where I majored in Animal Science and minored in Chemistry and Biology.  I earned my D.V.M. degree at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

After graduation, I worked as an associate veterinarian for several years in the clinic-based practices of two, local veterinarians. I started my mobile veterinary practice in the Fall of 2008.  My work with my patients in my mobile practice is very gratifying. It is very rewarding to see how quickly an animal recovers.

To keep current in veterinary medicine and practice, I actively attend conferences and workshops and work closely with referral clinics. I am also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Animal medicine is always evolving and changing. Like you, I want the best for your animal. So, I am dedicated to keeping on top of current veterinary practices.

In my spare time, I love spending time outdoors camping with my husband and family or watching my nephew play baseball with his Little League Baseball team. I hope you will follow me regularly on my Facebook page, which I update every week with the latest veterinary news and information about my mobile practice and work.
